Heather began dancing at the age of 2 and cheerleading at 5—and she hasn’t stopped since. From recreational leagues to elite competition squads, she has won countless awards and titles throughout her 30+ years in dancing and cheerleading. Her accolades include talent contests, choreography and costume awards, and the prestigious Miss High Kick America title.
 

Heather began coaching at just 12 years old, landing her first paid coaching job at 15. By 16, she was offering private lessons and volunteering to coach at schools without cheer coaches or sponsors. She also trained under many prestigious choreographers at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City.
 

Heather later moved to College Station, where she earned an Associate's Degree in Social Science and Psychology. In 2012, she relocated to Dallas to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Psychology, all while cheering for the University of Texas at Dallas and competing in UCA and NCA Collegiate National Championships.
 

With 15 years of coaching experience, Heather founded Texas Galaxy with the goal of ensuring that every child—regardless of family income or ability—has the opportunity to compete in cheer or dance.
 

When she’s not coaching or running Texas Galaxy, Heather enjoys traveling, skating, crafting, and spending time with her friends, family, and her dog, Daisy.
